Weavers is the most customer oriented business I have come across in a long time. Emily and Lisa were great!!!! I brought an Astro Van thinking it had a transmission problem. Turns out it wasn't the transmission at all but an engine misfire. When I brought it in on Friday, no less, I told Emily it was a company vehicle and was in no hurry to get it back. I told her if there was anyone in front of me that needed their vehicle ASAP to bypass mine and served them. You could tell Emily was touched.

I'll go out of my way to recommend them to anyone.

When my 02 Dodge Ram suddenly refused to go into 3rd gear, I limped it to the closest transmission store (top speed was 25mph) to get checked out. At the time, the truck had 43000 miles on it, and was about 7 years old. Their diagnoses was it needed to be dropped, and had an internal problem. Internet advice about the problem showas negative, all saying my truck was a piece of junk! Since it is a 4x4, the bench fee (fee to remove and re-install) was 900, which was fair. I read the BBB advice in transmissions, which states "always get a 2nd opinion when a removal is recommended."

It was a long trip in the right lane with people beeping for me to speed up, but well worth it. The people at Weaver immediatly recognized it was something they had seen before. They preformed a "drop pan diagnoses", where they removed the tranny pan, and found a broken spring in the accumulator. The whole deal, including new filter parts, labor, and diagnoses was $320, and it has run perfectly since (3 years, 25K miles). I was particularly impressed they took it upon themselves to drop the pan, which is not standard (if I had declined the repair, they would be on the hook for the fluid replacement and seal; being that the diagnoses is only $50, it wouldn't of worked out in their favor).

They were prompt, courteous, and most of all - awesome! I'll go out of my way to recommend them to anyone, and will not go anywhere else.  - Gordon S.

First, for being on busy Route 360 in Mechanicsville, VA, this business had the cleanest lot I have seen in years. The owners, management, workers, etc. are all the kind of people you WANT to have at your house. Friendly, sociable, helpful, and much more. My old Chevy van went to them because the fluid was OE, and had never been changed by the previous owner [w/ 141K miles]. The original estimate was for $150-$175 for the service, but the bill was for $128.78 - a very pleasant surprise. A test drive, followed by a service, followed by another test drive - my appointment was for 10:30 and I drove away happy at 11:30 AM sharp. Just fantastic. If you need transmission work done to your vehicle, it behooves you to at LEAST get an estimate from Weaver Transmission, if not everything. Don't say I didn't tell you - Chris L.
